About Me

I love making people laugh.  Have so, for as long as I can remember.  As I sit here thinking about - WHO I AM - WHAT I DO - WHY I DO IT - I feel like “cracking jokes” is mostly what I do.  Am I a comedian?  No. I’ve been a bartender for most of my life.  People don’t really want to hear a joke when they walk up to a bar though.  They want a drink.  I’ll always say something like, “How ya doin'?” or “How’s it going?” and a lot of times people will just respond with their drink order.

Once they’ve settled in, I’m sure they wouldn’t mind hearing a joke or two – but now I’m busy.  I have other customers to wait on.

I want my customers to be in good spirits though.  I like the people around me to be having a good time.  After all, if they’re having a good time – I'm having a good time.   And who doesn’t want to have a good time while they’re working?

That must be it.  I want to make people smile, laugh, and have a good time – but I’m too busy to be telling jokes all the time. I guess that’s why I started buying and/or coming up with funny Tshirts.

“That would be good on a T-shirt"

So, I have 5 kids (that I know of).  One time when I was telling a customer about the incredible number of kids I have, a guy standing nearby remarked, “his couch pulls out, but he doesn’t.”

That’s it.  That’s my kind of humor, right there.

So, I put “My couch pulls out – but I don’t” on a shirt.  I remember one of the first times I wore it, an elderly couple were looking my way, and I could tell that the lady was trying to zoom in on it.  My immediate thought was “Ah, shit!”  Then I was like, “Hell I’m too far away for them to really see what it says” - then a huge smile stretched across her face, as she grabbed her man’s arm and directed his attention to my shirt.  That is what it's all about, right there.

So, that’s pretty much it.  Whenever I see or hear something good/funny - and I think it would be good on a shirt, I print one off and wear it to work.  A lot of times, people remark that I should sell my shirts – so here I am.
